Sharpening Machine for Bandsaw Blades for Sawmills – Mod. AM531

The AM 531 Sharpening Machine is designed for sharpening the tooth profile of band saw blades for log saws and is intended for sawmills that wish to manage blade maintenance in-house.

It is a simple and functional machine and, compared with the AM 518 model, the AM 531 is suitable for taller blades and features a larger, more robust structure designed to ensure stability and precision throughout the sharpening cycle.

The machine features a compact and extremely rigid steel structure that minimizes all types of vibration.

The tooth profile is generated by means of a double-cam system.

The grinding wheel dressing device ensures a correct and consistent wheel profile throughout the entire wheel life. The profile can also be adjusted to optimize the geometry of each tooth type.

The vertical adjustment of the blade support stand is motorized, allowing highly accurate blade positioning.

The vice is pneumatically operated and the clamping force is adjustable.

The electrical cabinet is equipped with an ergonomic and easy-to-use control panel.

The machine is available in right-hand or left-hand configuration, while a wide range of optional equipment allows the machine to be customized to specific requirements.

On request, the machine can be equipped with variable grinding wheel speed to maintain a constant peripheral speed. Combined with the high coolant flow, this ensures an excellent tooth finish and helps prevent potentially harmful thermal alterations to the blade body.
