Bandsaw Blade Sharpening Machine for Sawmills – Mod. AM518

The Alix Mod. AM 518 sharpening machine is designed for sharpening the tooth profile of band saw blades for log saws.

This model is suitable for sawmills that wish to manage routine blade sharpening operations in-house in a simple and functional way.

The machine features a compact and extremely rigid steel structure that minimizes all types of vibration. The tooth profile is generated by means of a double-cam system.

The grinding wheel dressing device ensures a correct and consistent wheel profile throughout the entire wheel life. The profile can also be adjusted to optimize the geometry of each tooth type.

The vertical adjustment of the blade support stand is manual, or motorized on request.

The vice is manually operated and the clamping pressure is adjustable.

The electrical cabinet is equipped with an ergonomic and easy-to-use control panel.

The machine is available in right-hand or left-hand configuration, and a wide range of optional equipment allows it to be customized to specific requirements.

On request, the machine can be equipped with variable grinding wheel speed to maintain a constant peripheral speed. Combined with the high coolant flow, this ensures an excellent tooth finish and helps prevent potentially harmful thermal alterations to the blade body.
